Price: 4000 MYR

About this course:

Drilling Operations is one of the key component of the E&P business. With the recent progress made in computing capabilities, what was traditionally “done by hands” is nowadays facilitated and improved by computers. As a result, all the aspects of Drilling Operations are now fully assisted by the Geomodelling tool. Operations Geomodelling can be subdivided in 3 distinctive phases:

- Pre drill Operations Geomodelling: the activities performed to predict the reservoir at the drilling target location and plan the well accordingly

- While drilling Operations Geomodelling: The usage of the Geomodelling tool to monitor the progress of the well and to modify the course of operations if needed

 - Post drill Operations Geomodelling: the activities performed once the drilling activities are completed

The OM00 course scans through the 3 distinctive phases of the Operations Geomodelling process emphasizing on best practices.

Attendees of the OM00 course will gain an overview of the main duties involving the Geomodeller in Operations settings.

What to expect from the course:

- Understanding how the Geomodelling tool can be used in the well maturation process

- Get the keys for leveraging the Geomodel to predict the reservoir and place the planned wells

- Awareness on Geomodelling considerations when drilling a well

- Ability to perform Post Drill Geomodel update and efficient Pre Drill / Post Drill Volumetrics comparison

Who should attend:

- Development Geoscientists / Geomodellers who are involved in Drilling Operations

 - Operations Geologists who wish to broaden up their skills

Prerequisite:

Familiarity with the basic Geomodelling workflow or attending GM01 course would be an advantage

Awareness / Prior exposure in Drilling Operations can be beneficial
