PE14: Petrel in Depth facies Modelling
| Petrel in depth facies modelling | Level: Advanced | Duration: 2 days |
Next scheduling: Contact us
Price: 4000 MYR
About this course:
When building a Geomodel, finding trends in reservoir properties distribution can assist the process and narrow down the uncertainty. In some instances, the reservoir properties can be related and controlled by the primary geological facies distribution. Understanding the depositional framework and accurately modelling it becomes critical. Facies Modelling is the action of modelling the facies belts in the Geomodel in accordance with the primary depositional settings.
The PE13 course explores the tools available and the methodology in Petrel to build facies models from scratch.
Under its current format, the PE14 course is tailored
for a Petrel Geomodelling platform.
Attendees are encouraged to bring along their
workstation and Petrel Licenses if they wish to use their own dataset during the
course.
What to expect from the course:
- Understand the importance of the regional settings and reservoir concepts prior to embarking on facies modelling for your AOI
- Learn how to effectively define your facies modelling scheme
- Learn how to condition the data for facies modelling usage
- Gain overview of the principal algorithm for facies modeling
- Ability to perform facies modelling in Petrel
- Ability to perform QC on facies model
Who should attend:
- Development Geoscientists / Geomodellers who wish to add facies modelling to their skillset
Prerequisite:
Understanding of the Geomodelling workflow, attending
GM01 or GM10 courses would be
highly favorable
Course outline:
